Today’s exhortation 19/06/18
Therefore with joy you will draw water
From the wells of salvation.
This is a simple yet profound scripture. Let’s have a little teaching:
Joy means a state of deep satisfaction and exuberant happiness. Synonyms include glee, delight, elation, bliss, glee, exhilaration
Water satisfies. It quenches your thirst, it refreshes and even signifies an awakening
Well is a deep source of water, usually a hole drilled in the ground to access water
Salvation means total deliverance; saving someone from sin or evil, danger or a difficult situation. Synonyms include deliverance, redemption,
So, what does this all mean?
It means salvation is a deep package. It means you need to dig deep and not just the surface to get the fullness of that package. It also means because you need to dig, you need something to get into that depth to draw out the salvation you require. And what you need should be something strong and long, appropriate to reach that depth.
Here comes joy. The scripture says that’s the most appropriate tool required to dig into the refreshing depths of salvation. That’s the only way we can get that total package.
Did you see the synonyms of joy? It’s not dependant on how you “feel”. And there is also no shortcut. No joy, no salvation. Remember salvation here doesn’t just mean the saving of sins. What areas of your life need salvation? Draw it out today with joy. Let your heart rejoice and be full of joy.
Philippians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
1 Thessalonians 5:16 – Rejoice always,
Let me give your faith a push in the right direction. You know how joyful you would feel if that thing you’ve been trusting God for would suddenly manifest? That ecstasy and satisfaction that you would simply overwhelm you? Joy is showing gratitude even before you see that manifestation! What are you hoping to see? Can you begin to thank God like you already have it?
Yes! That’s pure joy in manifestation!
