I AM THAT SAME WOMAN….

A few years ago,  I went through a rough patch. Life threw me a hard blow and i was mournful.  I questioned God in every occasion.  I wept bitterly , asking God ….where did i go wrong.

In the midst of the storm, I gathered myself together and decided that i had to move on. I approached my clinical supervisor.  I opened up the story of my life and asked for her help. I needed some time off work.
This woman opened her arms wide and hugged me tight as sis wept.

She said to me, Omobola, take as much time as you need.

During the time off, God gave me a clear instruction what to do. I moved swiftly.  About 9 months later,  I contacted my supervisor and thanked her. After recovery,  I got a new job and settled into life. She was happy for me.

7 years later,  at a professional conference,  I saw her.
Older and still as beautiful, I walked up to her and introduced myself. I am that same lady…..The one whom……the  i told her the story all over again.  She remembered the story,  but not my face. She had been wondering what became of me.

I am the same woman!!!!

This sentence is one that I am praying that the lord will put in your mouth this season.
The world looks down on people because of the current situation. At times, they decide whether you qualify for something because of your temporary status, what you posess and who you know.
One would think that in the body of Christ, there should be a different.

“Sir, do you remember me?” Hannah asked. “I am the very woman who stood here several years ago praying to the Lord . I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request.

Earlier on in that story, Pastor Eli, had accussed Hannah of being so drunken, as she poured out her heartbin an agonising prayer. She was not even asking for Pastor Eli to pray, she did the praying. Still, her style was not acceptable.

By the virtue of how the church is set up, we may expose ourselves.
We shar stories of where we have been. A single lady, because you feel that you need to confess your sins, open up our past to people, they then decide thatyou dont deserve marriage.
Some think that you do not deserve a child because you once terminated a pregnancy.

Someone once told my friend that she did not deserve to be married to such a lovely man as her husband. She got married a virgin!!!!! The chooser’s criteria for a great husband is known to them only.

Pastor Eli found fault with Hannah’s method. Maybe he would have approved if she was shouting her prayer points aloud, or even not prayed for herself, but asked for prayers from the man of God alone.

Thank God for a woman who will not be offended by the tongue of men, whether it be the tongue of those who dont really dont know or the tongue of those who claim to know but dont……her prayer was personal…..and without a doubt, her testimony was personal too.

Today, i ask for myself and many more who have been wounded by the words of men.
Those whose faith has made them a ridicule so far.
Those who have been told that they did not qualify for the great things thatGod has promised us in His word….

You shall return , and your prayer point will become your introduction testimony.
Like Hannah, dont take offence…..wipe your tears and say it shall be unto me according to the word of the lord…..
When you shall return…..it shall be with a dance step…and a simple word of introduction. .
REMEMBER ME? I  am the woman who…….
Sisters……its yours to complete…….

As you declare, so it is in Jesus name.
